Chateau L’Orangerie

History & Background

Established as a winemaking property back in 1790, Chateau L’Orangerie has kept up a rich winemaking tradition, now going back thru 8 generations of the Icard family. Sitting in the heart of the Entre Deux Mers, south of the town of Bordeaux, it is uniquely situated to produce great Red, White and Rose wines.
Their 250 acres consist mainly of chalk and clay over a sandy clay subsoil.
Sustainable agriculture is practiced throughout the property and they benefit from a most up to date winery.
